Kids Say the Darndest Things
I took a group of kids to Macon, Ga yesterday for a visit. On the way up there, we noticed a growing trend of gas prices going up, up, up and up. We even saw it as high as $4.49 at the exit we got off of to eat. Needless to say, there was some discussion among the adults to the ridiculousness of the whole situation. Price gouging was even mentioned a time or two. Later on down the road, we happened across a rainbow. It had been raining off and on during the day, and we were lucky enough to get to see a rainbow. As we followed the rainbow, the nurse that was with us asked the kids if they knew what the rainbow stood for. One of the girls spoke up and said that it meant that God would not destroy the earth by flood. Then the kid sitting beside me in the front seat blurted out, “Yeah and that He won’t raise gas prices. God needs to send another rainbow saying that He will not raise gas prices.” We got a good laugh out of that.
